Jamile McGeeMaster Hip-Hop Instructor
While in Los Angeles, Jamile received master instruction from Brian Friedman, Dan Karaty, Shane Sparks and Mia Michaels, to name a few. Jamile has also studied under Mr. Wiggles, and has competed in hip-hop, breakin’ and pop ‘n lock competitions in New York City, Washington D.C and Baltimore for over 10 years. Recently, Jamile has worked with artists such as Beyonce, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Nelly Furtado and Rhianna - as well as performing in the recent MTV Video Music Awards. Jamile also recently returned from a tour in Greece in which he worked under chorographer, Mia Michaels - a celebrity judge on "So You Think You Can Dance." Jamile continues to work professionally and tours with his group "Hometown Heroes" across the United States providing master instruction. Jamile also acts as a master instructor and judge for Headliners Dance Convention. Jamile also has done extensive modeling and catalog work. Jamile’s areas of instruction include hip-hop, street jazz, pop ‘n lock and breakin’, as well as choreography and intensive technique training for SDC’s Regional and National Competition Team. Jamile also will be heading SDC's hip-hop competition team, Fierce Jamz. SDC is very pleased to welcome Jamile back home!

Jamile has studied dance for over 14 years. Jamile recently received national exposure and media attention for his success on Fox’s hit show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” Out of thousands of contestants who auditioned nationwide, Jamile was selected to the Final 16. Jamile continued to win over the judges and America with his versatility, showmanship and ability to adapt to different styles, including Jive, Ballroom, Quick-Step and Paso Doble. Jamile ultimately made it to the Finale, coming in 3rd Overall in the nationwide competition.
