Isis MasoudMaster Jazz/Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap and Musical Theater Instructor
A well-rounded performer, Isis’s credits vary from choreographer to dancer, in all realms of the business, including film, television, commercial and theater. Isis now resides in New York City. Recently, Isis worked as an artist associate on a workshop for a new Broadway show entitled, Daddy Long Legs, choreographed by David Parsons, and directed by John Caird (Les Mis/Jane Eyre) at the Atlantic Center for the Arts. Isis has choreographed productions of Hair, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and has served as assistant choreographer on many projects including "Break the Floor." Isis’s choreography was recently featured on the ABC Family television show, Dance Fever, in Las Vegas, NV. She is also co-choreographing, co-directing, and co-producing "At the Diner", an original dance musical opening at The Duke Theatre in Times Square. Isis also recently performed tap work by Savion Glover in a choreographer’s showcase in NYC. Isis also works as a Master Instructor touring on faculty with Dance Caravan, Stars of Tomorrow, Onstage America. ConQuest and Dance Masters of America. Isis also provides master instruction at the Broadway Dance Center in New York. Isis looks forward to providing master instruction to the students of SDC in the areas of jazz, lyrical, contemporary and musical theater. Isis will also provide choreography and intensive technique training for SDC’s Regional and National Competition Team. Isis grew up in Florida, where she was trained as a dancer by the legendary Mia Michaels. With Mia and Dana Michaels as her mentors, Isis received an intense level of training in jazz, lyrical, contemporary and modern dance. Isis went on to receive her BA in theater at the University of Miami.
