Silvie DamskeyJazz and Tap
Silvie continues to train with some of today's hottest choreographers, including Suzi Taylor, Mandy Moore, Andy Blakenbuehler, Mike Minery and Nick Lazzarini. Silvie also continues to attend and participate in Regional and National Dance Workshops each year, while also attending classes and dance workshops in New York at Broadway Dance Center. As a choreographer, Silvie has choreographed Regional and National award winning routines in lyrical, tap and jazz. Her routines received Several High Score Awards, including being recognized as the recipient of the PowerPak Award at Gary Pate's Starpower Convention. Silvie has also choregraphed routines for solo artists which have been awarded Regional High Scores and Dancer of the Year at OnStage America. In addition to her dance background, Silvie has extensive experience and training vocal and theater arts. She has been involved in Maryland theater for years, holding the lead role in performances such as Going West, Sugar, Exit the Body, Rumors and Vanities. Silvie was also the recepient of the Maryland Distinguished Scholar in Voice and recognized by the State of Maryland in Theater and Voice with "Top Honors".More importantly, Silvie was recognized with a "Superior" rating by the Maryland Educators Association. Silvie's areas of instruction at SDC include tap, jazz and musical theater. Silvie will also provide choreography and intensive technique training for SDC’s Performance Team.

Silvie has studied dance for over 25 years and has been a choreographer and instructor for the past 7 years. She has received master instruction under the direction of world-renowned dancers, such as Frank Hatchett, Joe Lanteri, Joe Tremaine, Gus Giordano, Rhonda Miller, Doug Caldwell, Janice Barringer, Sam Fiorello, Tommy Alexander, Steven Boyd and Debbie Dee.
